DC 0 - A Domino Cookbook - introduction
Over the past two years, I've been refining the art of making web interfaces with IBM Lotus Notes/Domino. When I look at my latest posts however, I discovered that a lot of them didn't offer real help for people who read them. At best, they give hints and some new ideas. I'm going to change this.
Domino Cookbook: the series
Starting from the next post, I am going to develop a complete Domino SiteBuilder step by step, explaining on each step what the purpose of it is. At the bottom of each post, there will be a database for you to download with the progress so far. These updates will come about once every week. You can also follow the process on a live demo I am going to build at the same time. Please note that this demo will always show all of the development so far and only as far as anonymous visitors can see.
The base
In the development process, I'll be re-using many of the techniques explained in previous posts. So you will finally have them as download.
Next
The first step of the process will be taking a blanco database and programming the base of the system. It's the Domino Sitebuilder version of 'Hello World' as you wish:
- The launch page
- The default WebQueryOpen agent
- The DbConfig document
