Introducing d-works
The last weeks, I've been working like hell on a commercial product based on an idea I was blogging about during last summer, Domino Workspace. The product is called 'd-works'. It has its own website: www.d-works.be and we are rolling out five lucky pilot customers this week.
The d-works site
This is an IBM Lotus Notes Domino application, what else. It is multi-lingual, valid XHTML 1.0 and section 508 compliant, as all modern websites should. I used this trick from Jake Howlett to embed a login form on the homepage. Don't try to log in: it's for registered users only. We hope to add lots of content, screenshots and even free downloads and demos in the next weeks.

About d-works itself
It is a suite of IBM Lotus Notes Domino applications allowing to build a complete Intranet in a matter of minutes. Some of the features:
- Blogs, wikis and announcements
- Multiple themes
- Semantic rich text editor, tagging with tagclouds and typeahead
- Drag and drop images
- Easy file uploads
- My space: quick overview of all your own documents
- Multiple environments possible on a single server, each with their own look and feel
- Integration of any web page, external application, mail system with loose HTTP-coupling or Ajax
- Possibility to share common applications (help, bug tracking, ect.)
d-works also has a special CSS system called 'dw-flex' that allows to change the look and feel of the entire application with the click of a button. In the demo, there is even a theme switcher that gives you a theme of your choice for the time of your visit. We hope to set up a demo site that is accessible for non-registered users in the near future.

What next?
I'll explain more on the features and reveal some technical solutions we've used in the next posts. Please visit www.d-works.be and tell me what you think.

Looks great! Congratulations!

Nice!
I would prefer to have the design flow with the window size. Now the width is locked to 820(?)px. As I'm using a much higher resolution I would like to be able to see more. Or if user have a lower resolution the different parts should fold down so they're still visible, like if you're using a PDA.
Otherwise it's good to see a fellow Domino developer who appreciates valid HTML!
I didn't see anything about prices for this product, where can I get that information?
Keep it up!

@all: Thanks!
@Joacim: I'm investigating liquid layout, but there are still some things I have not quite resolved. I'll keep you posted.

Wow. The application looks great with a lot of features. Honestly I have been looking for something like this without having to purchase a bunch of products.
